As a first-generation American born to ethnically Chinese immigrants from Southeast Asia, I understand the joys and frustrations that can come from navigating life between multiple cultures. It is from this lived experience that my passion for supporting others who find themselves in the in-between spaces of their various backgrounds and identities was born. I am especially passionate about supporting other adult children of immigrants, multicultural individuals, transracial adoptees, and BIPOC folks of all cultural backgrounds.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in creative marketing, communications, and graphic design in both corporate and non-profit settings for over a decade. This work gave me opportunities to build relationships with folks from different backgrounds, ranging from immigrant populations in the U.S. to trauma survivors in Africa. My love for people and cultures informs my multicultural, strengths-based, person-centered, and internal family systems approaches to therapy.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and trying out authentic hole-in-the-wall restaurants with friends. I hope I'll get the chance to meet you right where you are soon!
